Preparing for a day outdoors, it is important to use a variety of sun protection methods, like non-toxic sunscreen, sun protective clothing, and time in the shade. Eat plenty of high antioxidant fruits and vegetables, like beets, kale, pomegranates and berries. Pomegranates are a rich source of ellagic acid, which can help protect your skin from UVA- and UVB-induced cell damage.
